Evaluation at the Munich Science Communication Lab plays a key role in understanding the effectiveness of science communication initiatives. Through both qualitative and quantitative methods, we analyse outcomes to provide insights that can optimise future projects. We evaluate our activities both before and during implementation, as well as summatively after the completion of a science communication initiative to measure its success. By focusing on the impact of communication strategies across diverse audiences, we can ensure that our evaluations provide robust and actionable results.
While we primarily evaluate our own in-house activities, we also collaborate with various partners. Though the MSCL does not offer external evaluation services, we are happy to provide consultation on evaluation topics related to Planetary Health. More information on booking consultation appointments will be available soon.

In some projects, the MSCL has been involved in the conceptual design as well as the evaluation of the project, while in others it provided an external evaluations. You can find more information about each project in the Practice section.
